BBC LOOK NORTH:

ENERGIE KONTOR'S GAYTON LE MARSH WIND FARM HAS CAUSED LOCAL RESIDENTS TO LODGE A SERIES OF TURBINE NOISE COMPLAINTS TO EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL.

NOTE:

A highly qualified experienced expert on the analysis on wind turbine noise data, raised serious concerns at the Inspector's Pre-Inquiry meeting, held during November 2012. This expert was excluded from appearing at the inquiry in support of the local community, by being threatened with punitive costs if this important evidence was presented to the Inspector at the Gayton le Marsh inquiry held during January 2013.

The wind tycoon, the donations to Labour and £36m in subsidies...
Dale Vince’s company, Ecotricity, has given £250,000 to the Labour party – of whose energy policies it has been a major beneficiary

Daily Telegraph By Robert Mendick, Chief Reporter 14 Feb 2015.

BBC Look North has already covered the aniversary of Ecotricity's Bambers Wind Farm at Mablethorpe now this report reveals;
In total, Ecotricity has been paid £36m in subsidies since 2002, when the scheme began, and which Mr Miliband oversaw as Climate Change Secretary from 2008.The subsidy is added to household electricity bills and paid by consumers, pushing up bills for all households. It is probably fair to say Mr Vince has earned more from the Labour-introduced subsidy than any other individual in the UK.
A new wind farm being planned by Ecotricity in Lincolnshire at (Heckington Fen) will be the fourth largest in England and is expected, in the future, to earn Mr Vince a further estimated £4.75 million a year in consumer subsidy.

Martin Hill, Conservative leader of Lincolnshire County Council, who opposed Ecotricity’s plans for 22 turbines, each 410ft tall, at Heckington Fen, also questioned the Ecotricity donation. “Are they trying to buy policy through the Labour Party?” he asked.

A, Study and development of a methodology for the estimation of the risk and harm to persons from wind turbines,

WAS, 'Prepared by MMI Engineering Ltd for the Health and Safety Executive' DATED '2013',

'MMI Engineering has carried out a wide ranging study to investigate the issues surrounding the potential for harm to persons in the vicinity of onshore wind turbines and to develop a methodology to estimate the risk to persons'...

ONE OF THE STUDY'S CONCLUSIONS WAS ;

'A literature survey has been carried out to investigate the current status of available data for wind turbine failure rates. This has confirmed that there is little publicly available failure data for wind turbine failures. Where databases have been compiled, the data are typically held in confidence by manufactures or industrial bodies, or are compiled by pressure groups and the source data cannot be verified'.

'EXPERTS PUT VALUE OF INEFFICIENT WIND POWER STRATEGY IN QUESTION'

'WIND farms are extremely volatile, with outputs fluctuating by five percentage points over short periods of time, a report claims today'.

'Although the government acknowledges that wind farms produce much less energy than their capacity would suggest, the report shows that even the average production of around a quarter of capacity is extremely misleading about the amount of power
wind farms can be relied up to provide'.

'It comes after villagers in East Yorkshire, the county with the highest density of turbines in England, say' “enough is enough”.

'Residents in East Yorkshire are reporting health problems because of noise from the largest turbines, which they say is turning the county into an' “industrial wasteland”.

'The county has the second highest number of turbines in the country, after Northumberland, with 226 turbines over 50 metres high, either built, approved, or pending decision, as well as numerous agricultural turbines'.

'But applications have continued to flood in, with 63 “scoping requests” to East Riding Council since January, leaving many to feel they are' “under siege”.

Published by Yorkshire Post 27-10-2014

MWAG COMMENT: The number of consented wind turbines across East Riding, along with those in the planning system does significantly exceed those in our adjacent District of East Lindsey in Lincolnshire. There is no doubt that East Riding has been relentlessly and strategically targeted by developers.  East Lindsey likewise is a targeted area, hence the formation of MWAG to collectively oppose the spread of this ongoing onslaught ....

'THE ANSWER ISN'T BLOWING IN THE WIND'

'Last week, EU leaders agreed to the next round of targets for reduction of carbon dioxide emissions: a headline target of a 40% reduction on 1990 by 2030. But rather than let the market decide how to reach this goal most efficiently, they also set a 27% target to add more renewable energy to the mix'.

'In practice, this love affair with renewable energy means promoting wind and solar; there is little scope for new hydropower plants and large scale, practical wave and tidal power seems to be as far away as ever. There is no rational justification for this, but politicians seem to be incapable of fixing top level targets and providing a market framework to meet them'.

'Wind and solar power have been heavily promoted by the green lobby as the clean alternative to fossil fuels and policymakers have swallowed the bait enthusiastically. The more perceptive of them may already have realised that life is a lot more complicated than that but, for those who still need to see the light, I recommend they read a new report published by the Scientific Alliance and the Adam Smith Institute'.

WIND FARMS WILL NEVER KEEP THE THE LIGHTS ON: Study claims turbines are 'expensive and deeply inefficient'

Wind farms produce 90% of potential power output for only 17 hours a year
Families and businesses have paid billions to subsidise building of turbines
Tories have pledged to end subsidies as Britain is set to meet EU targets

'Wind farms will never be able to ensure the nation’s lights stay on because they are ‘expensive and deeply inefficient’, it is claimed today.

'Confirming the long-held fears of many critics, a new study published by the right-leaning Adam Smith Institute and the Scientific Alliance argues the green energy revolution has been an expensive folly'.

'Researchers found that, on average, wind farms produce 80 per cent of their potential power output for less than one week annually – and they manage 90 per cent output for only 17 hours a year'.

'Madness': 'Pictured is the Inner Dowsing offshore wind farm in the North Sea'.

'They are proliferating so fast that from Cornwall to Caithness, East Anglia to Cumbria, hundreds of local protest groups have sprung up to say ‘enough is enough’.

'But the crucial objection to this obsession with wind farms is not just that they disfigure our beautiful countryside or kill shocking numbers of bird and bats'...
